JOHN SNELLING: SIREN SONGS

This is a little chapbook containing light-hearted verse:

There was a man who thought that sheep
Were watching him while he was asleep
Once, he awoke and counted thirty four
Which sent him back to sleep once more.
The above is called THE PARANOID. The booklet is entertaining, with hints of a different approach as in FOUR SHORT POEMS:
The shadows of swallows leaving the evening pool
Wind gently moves the long grass.
John Snelling is experienced in literary matters, with a degree from Ulster, and further studies on H G Wells. It seems it might be worth his while exploring haiku in detail academically too. A pleasant read.
