JOHN FRANCIS HAINES: BUS STOP/
DAINIS BISENIEKS: THE LONG TRIP

John Francis Haines' poem BUS STOP previously appeared in Works #1 in 1988 and THE LONG TRIP by Dainis Bisenieks made its debut in Starlanes #37 in 1959.

Cover artist Gunter Wessalowski's work has appeared in the German SF Rock magazine Hawkzine. Amongst his many credentials Haines has a:

strong interest in fantasy and SF-related music
while Bisenieks:
has been a fringe fan for half a century.
From BUS STOP:
His screams of terror drifted round the rocks.
The grazing creatures blinked in faint surprise
and THE LONG TRIP:
The captain gives orders: continue the trip.
Back into a world of neither night nor day
There you have it . well almost. There are just 62 more lines of verse plus a full page listing of science fiction poetry publications available from the publisher.

The multi-coloured flying saucer cover pic would be a suitable centrepiece for the group table at the next meeting of your local UFO-spotters Club.
