Hyde Daily Photo is one of more than 500 websites worldwide that post a daily picture of their home town or city. On the first of each month, many of them post a picture according to a selected theme. On 1st January 2009, the theme was "Photo of the Year". Now I couldn't decide myself which one I should use, so selected twelve contenders for the honour, and asked readers to vote for their favourites.
